Verblene (Meeker) Fouts

Palmyra, IN, Verblene (Meeker) Fouts, age 87, passed away at her home on January 21, 2021. She was born in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas on July 17, 1933. She married David Fouts in 1996. Verblene was a homemaker, who enjoyed dancing, gardening, watching the hummingbirds, caring for her cats, and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband David Fouts; son, Richard Wayne Mills; two brothers, Coy Meeker, Kenny Meeker; Two sisters, Opal Dye, Barbara Meeker; two grandchildren, Nick Mills, Leah Onstott; two step- children; and her first husband Robert Mills. 

Verblene is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Duke, Tina (Donnie) Bean; Four sons, Robert Mills Jr., Ronald (Dottie) Mills, Anthony (Stella) Mills, Jeffrey (Vashti) Mills; one Sister, Debbie (Pete) Rodgers; one brother Boyd (Donna) Meeker; Twenty- two grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren, as well as three step children.

Funeral service will be held at 1p.m. on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be held on the same day from 10a.m. until time of service. Due to Covid restrictions of no more than twenty-five at a gathering at one time, a Facebook live stream will start at 1p.m. on the Love Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Interment will be at Palmyra Cemetery in Palmyra, IN.
