Vaughn Seacat Obituary

Central Barren, IN, Vaughn Ray Seacat, age 69, passed away peacefully on July 30th, 2021, at Harrison Healthcare Center. He was born August 15, 1951, in New Albany, IN, to Henry and Virginia (Hendricks) Seacat. Vaughn was a graduate of the North Harrison High School class of 1970 and was a member of the Central Barren Methodist Church. He was a self-employed salesman, who sold Amish recipes and goods. Vaughn was the owner and driver of his own drag racing car. He enjoyed finding new recipes, line dancing, racing his drag car, and overall having fun.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dana Seacat; and one sister-in-law, Gemma Seacat.

Vaughn is survived by two brothers, Michael Seacat, Donald (Gail) Seacat; one sister-in-law, Becky Seacat; several nieces and nephews as well as one faithful companion, “Tom”.

 Funeral Services will be held at 12p.m. on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday August 3, 2021 from 2p.m. to 8p.m. and again on Wednesday August 4, 2021 from 10a.m. until time of service at Love Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vaughn’s name to Central Barren United Methodist Church at 11170 IN-135, New Salisbury, IN 47161.
