Troy Franks Obituary

Troy William Franks, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 25, 2024, at the age of 53, surrounded by his loved ones at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Born on December 3, 1970, in Corydon, IN, Troy was the cherished son of David and Diane (Cline) Franks. He spent his formative years in Corydon, attending St. Joseph School and graduating from Corydon High School later earning his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1994.  Troy's professional journey led him to become a Regional Sales Manager for S Sterling Company in Peachtree City, GA, where his dedication and passion shone brightly.

On October 8, 2011, Troy married the love of his life, Tiffany (Shields) Franks. Together, they built a life in Palmyra, IN, filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories.

A devout member of St. Michael Church in Bradford, IN, Troy found solace and strength in his faith. His unwavering love for Purdue sports was evident to all who knew him, as he cheered passionately for his team through every victory and defeat.

Beyond his professional and personal pursuits, Troy found true happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was boating on serene waters, knee boarding with the wind in his hair, or casting his line into the tranquil depths for a day of fishing, Troy embraced every moment with boundless enthusiasm. However, his greatest joy came from the time spent surrounded by his cherished friends and family, whose love and laughter filled his heart with immeasurable warmth.

Troy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Dorothy Franks, Lewis and Annis Cline, his brother-in-law, Jay Holbrook, and his uncle Gary Cottrill.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Tiffany Franks, his loving parents, David and Diane Franks, his dear brother, Chad (Sandy) Franks, his cherished sister, Dana Holbrook, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. Additionally, his faithful companions, "Truman" and "Tilly," will hold a special place in his heart.

Visitation to honor Troy's life will be held from 2pm to 8pm on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN, and again on Saturday, June 01, 2024, from 10am to 11am at St. Michael Church in Bradford, IN. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Michael Catholic Church at 11am on Saturday, June 01, 2024, with interment to take place in St. Michael Cemetery in Bradford, IN.

Troy was very passionate about education and started a scholarship fund to help others attend college. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Troy's memory to Harrison County Community Foundation.

Troy's legacy of love, laughter and cheering for the Boilermakers will forever remain etched in our hearts, guiding us through the days ahead with fond memories of a life well-lived and a spirit that will never be forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
