Shawn Edward Crabtree

Shawn Edward Crabtree, age 49, of Fredericksburg, Indiana, passed away on October 5, 2024. He was born on July 20, 1975, to Chester and Linda (Butler) Devore in New Albany, Indiana. A graduate of West Washington High School, Shawn was known for his deep passion for caring for his home and yard. He found joy in gardening, planting flowers, and expressing his creativity through artistic designs.

Shawn was a compassionate individual who always made time to help others, embodying the spirit of kindness and generosity. His nurturing nature and artistic flair left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda.

Shawn is survived by his father, Chester L. Crabtree, Sr.; his brother, Chester Crabtree, Jr.; his sisters, Angie (Robert) Huckeby and Tammy Compton; his daughter, Cheyenne (Brian) Durbin; and his cherished grandson, Weston Durbin.

A private cremation was chosen, with Love Funeral Home overseeing arrangements. Shawn will be remembered for his caring heart, creative spirit, and the love he shared with family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
