Sarah Ann (Inman) Ross

Greenville, IN, Sarah “Ann” Ross, age 82, passed away on March 23, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. She was born in Lebanon, KY, on February 20, 1940, to Stewart and Kathleen (Smothers) Inman. Sarah was raised in Gravel Switch, KY, by her grandparents, Mose and Minnie Smothers. She worked and retired as a Communications operator for Bell South Services. Sarah enjoyed riding horses, making stained glass, ceramics, and jewelry. She loved to laugh saying that it was “the world’s greatest medicine”, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; two sons, Bill Noe, Tony Avery; two sisters Donna Rodgers, and Bonnie Powers.

She is survived by her two children, Cheryl Ross, Russell Ross; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jesse, Danielle, Nathan; four great-grandchildren, Rozlyn, Hazel, Angel, Harmony; one sister, Joyce Myers; two brothers, Ronnie Rankin, and Ricky Rankin.  

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be held on the same day from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Hardinsburg Cemetery.
