Ruth Jeanette (Craft) Smith

Ruth Jeanette (Craft) Smith, age 87, of Corydon, IN,  passed away on February 21, 2025.

She was born on September 11, 1937, to Russell and Mabel (Harrison) Craft in Flat Rock, IN. Ruth spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker, taking great joy in caring for her loved ones. She was married to Paul Smith, and together they shared a life filled with love, companionship, and devotion.

Ruth had a special affection for caring for others, enjoying the simple joys of tending to her birds, and spending time with friends and family. Her warmth and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patricia Hughes and Tina Hilton; her brother, Gary Craft; infant siblings, Phillip Craft and Alma Craft; and her beloved husband, Paul Smith.

Ruth is survived by her brothers, Don Craft and Russell Craft; her significant other Don Adkins; niece, Tina Mull; and several other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Ruth's caregivers at Indian Creek Health Center in Corydon, IN for all the love and care they showed her. 

Cremation has been chosen in accordance with Ruth's wishes.
