Ruth Helen (Durbin) Rufing

Greenville, IN:  Ruth Helen Rufing, passed away at IU Paoli Hospital on December 01 ,2020. She was born in New Albany, IN on February 17,1942 to Albert and Thelma (Werts) Durbin. Ruth married Robert Lee Rufing on May 11, 1963 and had four children. She was a graduate of New Albany High School Class of 1960. Ruth was the owner and creator of the Stone Rest Inn Bed and Breakfast that her and her family built together in Greenville, IN. She was an artist who enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her two siblings.

She is survived by her four children; Todd (Lynn) Rufing, Tena Rufing, Tisha (Justin) Naville, and Troy (Sarah) Rufing, nineteen grandchildren; Kevin, Kala, Kylie, Rose, Kamron, Kendall, Skylar, Kole, Kade, Elijah, Yanet, Lupe, Andrea, Hannah, Matthew, Sophia, Samuel, Catherine, and Clover; three great-grandchildren, Camdyn, Jaelyn, Levi, as well as one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

A private burial will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery in Greenville, IN. Love Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
