Rita Ann (Daus) Buechler

Palmyra, IN, Rita (Daus) Buechler, age 92, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon, IN. Rita was born in Louisville, Ky, on April 13, 1929 to Jacob and Anna (Weaver) Daus. She married John C. Buechler on April 26, 1950 and enjoyed 57 years together. Rita loved crocheting, gardening, and often said she was proud of her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, John Robert Daus; one sister Mary Daus; and one great-grandson, Adam Dewey.

Rita is survived by her four daughters, Marilyn (Dave) Craig, Dolores (Ronnie) Martin, Darlene (Bob) Smith, Kathy Black; one son Larry (Chrissy) Buechler; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford, IN, located at 11400 Farmers Lane NE, Greenville, IN 47124. Visitation will be Friday, September 24, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Interment will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Bradford. The family of Rita Buechler ask that all who attend please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita’s name to St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 11400 Farmers Lane, Greenville, IN 47124.
