Peggy Jo Pennington

Peggy Jo Pennington, age 64, of Palmyra, IN, passed away on September 17, 2025. Born on January 5, 1961, in Corydon, IN, to Charles Pennington and Lois Ransom. Peggy was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Peggy was known for her deep love of family. She found immense joy in caring for her grandchildren, Emerald, Jackson, Lukelynn, and Luka, and in spending time with her children and siblings. A dedicated worker, she was employed at Roman Industries for many years, and her kindness and warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Charles Pennington and Lois Ransom; her daughter, Amy Jo Hopper; and her sister, Judy Reynolds.

Peggy is survived by her son, Luke (Shelby) Turben; her siblings, Charles Pennington Jr., Linda (George) Hickerson, Debbie (Jerry) Chinn, Jeffrey Pennington, and Larry (Carla) Pennington; her grandchildren, Emerald Murphy, Jackson Turben, Lukelynn Turben, and Luka Turben; as well as her bird and faithful companion, Luna.

Peggy was a cherished member of her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will take place after the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Peggy’s memory to a charity of your choice.

She will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
