PALMYRA, IN: Norman Lee Roy Heintz, age 92, of Palmyra, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Harrison Springs, Corydon, IN on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Norman was born on September 03, 1929 to William and Cora (Haub) Heintz. On November 4, 1950 he married Frances Yvonne “Peachie” Martin.
Norman was a retired farmer and road construction worker. He also drove a school bus for Morgan Twp. for 35+ years. He enjoyed his family, playing cards, watching sports on television, butchering and making his famous homemade sausage that the community loved. Norman was a member of Central Barren United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nora Compton and Melba Heintz; three brothers, William Jr., Calvin and Marvin Heintz.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, “Peachie” Heintz; two daughters, Vicki (Wayne) Jacobi and Roxanne (Bill) Uhl; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Jamie) Naessens, Laura (Philip) Pfaffenberger and Jason (Emily) Uhl; six great-grandchildren, Zach and Brody Naessens, Ava and Ali Pfaffenberger, and Jacob and Gracie Uhl.
The Funeral Service will be held at Love Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Central Barren Cemetery, New Salisbury, IN.
