Norbert's life was marked by his profound love for family, a deep connection to the land as a lifelong farmer, and a genuine appreciation for the outdoors. He graduated from Morgan Township High School in 1955, a testament to his dedication to education and his community. However, Norbert's most enduring source of pride was his 42 years of service as a school bus driver for North Harrison Schools, where he touched the lives of countless students.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, as well as his sisters, Mildred Schilmiller, Bernadine Kochert, Mary Louise Hoehn, and brothers, Raymond Hoehn Sr. and his twin, Herbert Hoehn Sr.
Norbert is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Catherine Hoehn, and their children: Connie (Randy) Mudd, Eileen Hoehn, Marty (Sara) Hoehn, Jason (Lori) Hoehn, Nathan Hoehn, and Jonathan (Jessica) Hoehn. Norbert's legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Neal and Robert Brewington, Logan, Ella, Garrett, Sophia, Landon, Ryley, Owen, Oliver, and Felix Hoehn. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Andrew, Case, Reagan, Nolan, and Kate Brewington.
Throughout his life, Norbert was a steadfast and devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Bradford, Indiana, where his faith and community involvement were unwavering. He enjoyed being a lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball, and IU Basketball teams.
Visitation to celebrate Norbert's life will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 11:00 AM.
