Maudie Dohoney, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 69. She was born on July 2, 1954, to John and Hazel (Mayes) Logsdon in New Albany, Indiana. Maudie's life was a testament to love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Maudie dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker. She had a remarkable talent for decorating cakes, sewing, and creating beautiful crafts. Maudie's artistic spirit extended to her passion for sketching and her musical talents. She found solace and fulfillment in playing the keyboard for church services she attended.

Maudie's love for the outdoors was evident in her enthusiasm for camping, fishing, and spending time in nature. Her zest for life was infectious, and she had an unparalleled ability to bring joy to those around her.

Maudie is survived by her loving sister, Clara (Benny) Sant, and her dear sister, Diane Dixon. Her daughter, Melissa (Mike) Miller, was a source of pride and joy for Maudie, and she adored her four precious grandchildren: Joseph (Hannah) Dohoney, Kaitlyn Miller, Rylee Dohoney, and Kenlee Dohoney. She also had the pleasure of being a great-grandmother to Emma Dohoney and was a loving mother-in-law to Tamera Dohoney.

Maudie is preceded in death by her father, John Henry Logsdon, her mother, Hazel Logsdon, and her siblings: Robert Logsdon, Edward Logsdon, Clarence Logsdon, Richard Logsdon, Eva Denton, and Joyce Adcock. She was also predeceased by her son, Stephen Dohoney.

A funeral service to celebrate Maudie's life will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Galena Methodist Church Cemetery located at 5620 First Cross St, Floyd Knobs, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to come together to pay their respects, share stories, and find solace in the memory of a truly remarkable woman.

Maudie's spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and beauty she brought into the world.
