Mary Catherine (Ray) Wright

Hardinsburg, IN, Mary “Cathy” Catherine (Ray) Wright, age 86, passed away peacefully at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. She was born in Irvington, KY, on September 19, 1936 to Ernest “Bill” Ray and Mary (French) Ray. Cathy married Chester Wright on October 29, 1964. She was a member of Christ the King Church in Paoli, IN. Cathy was a loving wife and homemaker. She enjoyed painting, reading, and spending time with her friends.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Lawrence Ray and Ernest “Bud” Ray.

She is survived by her four daughters, Karen Courtney, Diane Magner, Melissa (Jerry) Wilson, Stacey Guthrie; one son, Jeff (Donna) Durbin; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grand-children; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday September 26, 2022, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be on the same day from 10 a.m. until time of service at Love Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Kays Chapel Cemetery in Fredericksburg, IN.
