Mary Irene (Burkhart) Vance

Mary "Irene" (Burkhart) Vance, age 93, of Greenville, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on October 30, 2024. Born on October 27, 1931, to Farnsley and Ruby (Sweeney) Burkhart in Greenville. Irene married Charles Vance on December 22, 1951. She was a  member of the New Testament Christian Church in Greenville.

Irene is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Emmett) Wilson, Phyllis Shaffer, Brian (Paul) Vance, Richard (Laura) Vance; one brother Kenny (Suzi) Burkhart; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024, and again on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Love Funeral Home, with burial following at Greenville Cemetery.
