Mary Elizabeth (Toncray) Elliott

: Mary Elizabeth (Toncray) Elliott, age 88, passed away at Harrison County Hospital on December 01, 2020. Mary was born in Lewis County, KY on April 16, 1932 to John and Lucy (Case) Toncray. She married Deward Shrout Elliott on April 02, 1955 and they enjoyed 45 wonderful years together. Mary was a warm loving mother, grandmother, and friend, who enjoyed baking cakes for special occasions, dolphin watching on Florida beaches, playing euchre, and catching up with friends on Facebook.

She is preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, one brother, and two great- grandchildren and one son-in-law.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Danglade, Lori (Greg) Lentz; two sons, David (Lynn) Elliott, Paul “Scooter” Elliott; nine grandchildren, Maria (Josh) Naville, Bryan Elliott, Alex Lentz, Abby Lentz, Annette (Doug) Swetnam, John (Shelia) Danglade; three great-grandchildren Alex Naville, Oliver Naville, and Kirby Danglade; two nieces Debbie (John) Sims, Kay (Bob) Ginter; as well as three nephews; one honorary adopted daughter, Sue (John) Hawkins; one honorary grandchild, Katie (Tommy) Harmon; and a sister in law Lois Dean Morris.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 05, 2020 at Love Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on the same day. Interment will be at Horner’s Chapel Cemetery in Fredericksburg, IN. Cremation was chosen. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Todd & Beth Armstrong Youth Development Fund, administered by the Washington County Community Foundation at P.O. Box 50 Salem, IN 47167 or the Washington County Humane Society at 204 Joseph Street, Salem, IN 47167.
