Mary Evelyn Hammack, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday,
January 15, 2020. She was born April 30, 1943 to William Clifford Conover and
Arretta Genevieve (Hennigh) Conover in Wards, Ky. Mary married Oscar Ray
Hammack on Oct. 27, 2000. She taught school at Valparaiso High School and later
retired from teaching college at Murray State. Mary enjoyed reading, cooking,
and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Helen
Louise Hammack.Mary is
survived by her husband Oscar Ray Hammack, two daughters Beth Gabbard and Dawn
Cupp, one son Randy Ray Hammack, and one sister Ruth Hornback. Five
grandchildren, Sophia, Shannon, Amber, Shane, and Derek also survive. Special
thanks to care giver Sarah Williams for her loving care and support.Cremation
