Byrne, age 76, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Baptist Health
Floyd Hospital in New Albany. She was born in Jeffersonville, IN on July 30,
1943 to Sylvester Golden Potter and Anna May (DeArk) Potter. Mary was married
on December 30, 1982 to Gary D. Byrne. Mary was a
homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness in Salem. She loved
the outdoors, walking, hiking, and enjoyed playing the guitar. Mary especially
enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents
and just recently by her daughter Carol Standifer. Mary is
survived by her husband Gary D. Byrne, two daughters Patty (Richard) Stewart
and Mary (John) Toppe, son-in-law. Todd Standifer, one sister Alice(Emil)
Bennett, and two half-sisters Emma Faye and Rose L. Three grandchildren and
four great grandchildren also survive. Cremation
was chosen by the family.
