Kari Elizabeth (Miller) Grunden

Kari Elizabeth (Batman) Grunden, age 62, of Marengo, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on November 12, 2024, surrounded by family.

Kari was born on December 22, 1961, in Corydon, Indiana, to Robert "Bob" and Francis (Miller) Batman. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Kari married Gary Grunden on March 29, 1983, and together they made their home in Marengo, IN.

Kari had a deep love for simple joys, enjoying activities like cooking, gardening, and planting flowers. She found great happiness in spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bob" and Francis Batman; her brother, Barney Batman; and her sister, Susie Milligan.

Kari is survived by her husband, Gary Grunden; children, Max Wilder, Jeremiah Grunden, and Emily Grunden; sisters, Cathy Houchen, Chloe Fields, and Candie Mayborg; brothers, Bobby Batman and Craig Batman; and her two precious granddaughters, Scarlett Wilder and Aeris Grunden.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and again on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM on Monday at Love Funeral Home. Cremation will take place following the service.
