Juanita Marie (Gibson) Sears

Juanita Marie Sears went home to Jesus on September 16, 2023.

Juanita was born to Claude and Blanche Gibson on June 3, 1940. Juanita married John Sears on March 3, 1961. Their loving marriage of 62 years was an example to many! She leaves behind a legacy of love for all her family members.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; Juanita held an unwavering faith in God. Throughout her life she taught Sunday School, made flower arrangements for church, and sung in the church choir.

Juanita spent many years as a homemaker, taking care of her family. When her children were older, she reentered the workforce and retired from Carhart Refractories as a customer service representative.

After retirement, Juanita took up the hobby of painting where her creativity flourished.

Juanita joins her parents, Claude, and Blanche Gibson in heaven. She is survived by her husband, John Sears, her sister Pat Kaiser (Mike), and her brother Claude Arnold Gibson, her son Jeff Sears (Ying), her daughter Monica Brodbeck (Mark), her granddaughter Cassie Lyons (Andy), great grandchildren Elaina Lyons, Nolan Lyons, and Kace Lyons.

Viewing will be Tuesday, September 19th from 4P-7P, viewing Wednesday September 20th at 10AM followed by the funeral at 11AM. All will be held at Loves Funeral Home, 14345 Green St; Palmyra IN.

Family request expressions of sympathy be made by donations to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or with flowers. Due to a family allergy, it is asked that you refrain from sending Lillies.
