Johnny Elbert Morris

Georgetown, IN, Johnny E. Morris, age 79, passed away on Thursday October 20, 2022, at his residence. He was born on January 09, 1943 to Elmer and Mabel (Parsons) Morris in Dryden, Virginia. Johnny married Ruth (Fessel) Morris on September 3, 1964. He worked for International Harvester in Louisville, KY, and later owned and operated his own construction company, Key Builders. Johnny loved spending time with his family, watching his grandkids’ many activities and enjoyed hunting for ginseng.

He is preceded in death by his wife and three siblings.

Johnny is survived by his son Rich Morris (Sara) of Pekin, daughter Michelle Polk (Jamie) of Palmyra, four grandchildren Tristan Polk, Matthew Polk, Grace Morris, Luke Morris, and six siblings.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Love Funeral Home at 1p.m. Interment will follow in the Palmyra Cemetery in Palmyra, Indiana. Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Love Funeral Home, and again on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 10 a.m. till time of service.
