JoAnn Elizabeth (Pickerill) Leonard

Pekin, IN, JoAnn Elizabeth (Pickerill) Leonard, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, February 11, 2022. JoAnn was born on August 20, 1944, to Joseph Wilbur and Helen (Feiock) Pickerill. She married Richard Leonard on March 07,1964 and have celebrated 57 wonderful years together. JoAnn was a homemaker, Loving wife and amazing mother. She enjoyed collecting angels and baby dolls, but her true joy came from caring for her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by parents; one sister, Joyce Pickerill Thompson; one brother Larry Pickerill; and great-granddaughter Libyan Brown.

JoAnn is survived by her husband; One son, Steve Leonard; two daughters, Melanie (Bob) Barger, Tonya (John) Brown; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy (Jim) Pickerill, Jean Thompson; and one brother Ralph (Mary) Pickerill.

Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday February 18, 2022, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Martinsburg Cemetery in Martinsburg, Indiana. Family asks that in lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be made in JoAnn’s name to Martinsburg Cemetery c/o Craig Martin, 10295 South State Rd. 335 Pekin, IN 47165. Love Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
