Jennifer (Allen) Jones

Jennifer C. (Allen) Jones, 60, of Palmyra, IN, passed away on March 3, 2025.

Born on Derby Day, May 2, 1964, in Louisville, KY, Jennifer was the beloved daughter of Charles and Sarah (Eckleberry) Allen. She had a heart full of compassion, dedicating much of her life to caring for others. As a CNA and caregiver, she worked in various nursing homes and private residences, tending to the elderly with love and devotion.

Jennifer was united in marriage to Mark A. Jones, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. Together, they made their home in Palmyra, IN. Jennifer had many passions, including attending Derby Parties, Goodwill shopping, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. She loved sharing moments and memories with her loved ones, and her warmth and care were felt by everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Allen, and her brother, Charles Allen Jr.

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Mark A. Jones; daughter, Amber (Brent) Thompson; grandchildren, Destiny (Brady Amburgey) Thompson and Gracie Thompson; like a grandchild, Omar (Tempest) Tucker; her sisters, Rebecca "Becky" (Mark) Scott, Shelia (Jeff) Adkins, Jody (Bill) Hill; her brothers, Shawn (Mary) Allen, Kenneth "Perry" (Diana) Allen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jennifer's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Red Cross, causes that were close to her heart.
