Pekin, IN, Janet Sue (Gibson) Alton, 70, passed away peacefully at Todd Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leavenworth, IN on August 14, 2020. She was born on January 12, 1950 to Rube and Mary Ann (Roberts) Gibson. Janet married Wilbur Alton in 1998. She was a home health care worker for many years. Janet was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pekin, IN. She enjoyed reading, scrabble, caring for others and spending time with her family.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Husband, her daughter Wendy Roney, a son Darrel Wingler, as well as a sister Carolyn Dalton, and a brother Dwayne Gibson.
Janet is survived by her daughter Lexi (Charlie) Emery, four sisters Ruby Andrews, Sharon Arnold, Pauline Mills, Kathy Luce, a brother Kenny Gibson, and one grandchild Theodore Emery
A memorial service will be held at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday August 18, 2020 at 2p.m. Visitation will be the same day from 12p.m. till time of service.
