Irene C. Jaso, age 85, of Cadiz, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Born October 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Vance and Anna Elizabeth (Farber) Cottrell. She married Salvador "Sal" Jaso on December 22, 1951. Irene was a homemaker who retired to Cadiz with her husband, Sal, in July of 1989 to enjoy their time fishing and relaxing together. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, and "Grandma" to her family. She was an active and devoted member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Cadiz.
She is survived by her husband, Salvador "Sal" Jaso of Cadiz; two sons, Richard Alan (Linda) Jaso of Palmyra, Ind. and Randal Lee (Deborah) Jaso of Chesterton, Ind.; a daughter, Donna Lynn Lile of Wayzata, Minn.; a sister, Margurite Hulte of Hobart, Ind.; six grandchildren, Richard (Brandy) Jaso, Sheri (Ted) Grimmer, Stefany (James) Bragg, Ashley (Robert) Bellow, Kari (Eric) Colchin, and Keith Rehmel; twelve great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Justin, Sean, Matthew, Olivia, Alex, Christopher, Brooklyn, James, Lakyn, Molly, and Barac.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Maria Johnson; a great-grandson, Owen Bragg; and eleven siblings.
At this time there will be no public memorial or ceremony.
