Goldia L. (Draughn) Gibson

Palmyra, IN, Goldia (Draughn) Gibson, passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. She was born in Hazard, KY, on February 24, 1932, to Cordis and Ora (Collins) Draughn. Goldie married Paul Gibson SR. on December 20, 2007. She enjoyed being outside, mowing the grass, bird watching, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends, family and her faithful companion “Juley”.

Goldie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; three children, Dorothy, Eddie, and Jerry Singleton; four brothers, Olvin, Paul, Virgil, Dale; four sisters, Clella, Ida, Pauline, and Thelma.

She is survived by her sister, Yvonne; one Step-daughter, Nannie “Sis” Gibson; two step-sons, Paul Gibson Jr., Ronald Gibson; six grandchildren; as well as a host of great and, great-great-grandchildren.

 Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday September 03, 2022, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be on the same day from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Pekin IN.
