Georgetown, IN, Gemma Luigia (DeBernardo) Seacat, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on June 21, 1951 in Bressanone, Italy to Mario and Pia (Stablum) DeBernardo. Gemma married Michael Henry Seacat on May 02, 1970 they exchanged their vows in Novacella, Italy. She was a homemaker and wife. Gemma enjoyed cooking and was known for many great dishes, entertaining friends, landscaping, decorating her home, caring for animals of all kind (especially the wild ones), and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Gemma is survived by her husband; one son, Michael M. (Dottie) Seacat; one daughter, Marlo M. (Nathan) Kintner; Four grandchildren; Kristen Seacat, Cory Kintner, Emily Kintner, Alyssa Banet; two sisters, Evelyn (Egon) Urthaler, Lucia (Alberto) Ladurner; two faithful companions Chewy the “Ewok” and Romeo.
Funeral Services will be held at 12p.m. on Saturday July 31, 2021 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be on Friday July 30, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday July 31, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service at Love Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gemma’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 USA / donors@stjude.org.
