Gary Melton Sr.

IN Gary Lynn Melton,
Sr. age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on
Sunday December 29, 2019. He was born on October 29, 1953 to Juluis J. Melton and Dolores (Belcher )
Melton. He was a member of the Palmyra Church of Christ. Gary retired from Duke
Energy after 41 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid
Astronomer and photographer. Gary was preceded in death by his father Juluis J.
Melton and his son Gary Lynn Melton, Jr.Gary is
survived by his wife of 25 years Terri Melton, his mother Dolores Melton-Barker,
his step- children Stephanie (Donnie) McCullum and Steven (Debra) Reisert, and
his sister Julie (Lloyd) Patterson, and six grandchildren. Cremation
was chosen by the family. A Memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday
January 2, 2020 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with a private burial at a
later date at the Kraft Graceland Cemetery in New Albany, IN. Visitation will
be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on
Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Love Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made
