Frances (Holland) Sizemore

Palmyra, IN, Frances (Holland) Sizemore, age 83, passed away peacefully at the Beehive Homes of Georgetown on Friday, December 31, 2021. She was born on February 18, 1938 in Asher, KY, to Haywood and Eliza (Polly) Holland. Frances married Elmer Ray Sizemore on May 05, 1956. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Hardinsburg, IN. Frances was a longtime resident of Palmyra, residing within the town for more than 57 years. She worked as a waitress and cook for the Stagecoach restaurant in Palmyra, IN for over thirty –three years. Frances enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband; parents; five brothers, Woodrow Holland, Winfred Holland, Dan Holland, Glen Holland, Eugene Holland; and one grandchild, Samantha Matherly.   

She is survived by her two daughters, Diana (Pat) Cardwell, Hattie (Mike) Matherly; two sons, Thomas (Phyllis) Sizemore, Tony (Sara) Sizemore; one sister, Hattie (Tommy) Marcum; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on January 05, 2022 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be held on  January 04, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on January 05, from 11 a.m. until time of service, at Love Funeral Home.
