Edward Anthony Augustine, age 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 24, 2026.
Edward was born on June 16, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Herbert John and Mary Rita Augustine. He graduated from Suda E. Butler High School with the Class of 1977 and went on to dedicate 40 years of service to The Kroger Company before retiring.
On June 28, 1999, Edward married the love of his life, Laura Ellen (Cardwell) Augustine. Together they shared 29 wonderful years in Louisville, Kentucky, building a life centered on faith, family, and friendship.
Edward was a devoted member of St. Denis Catholic Church and was also a proud member of UFCW Local 227. He had a passion for collecting classic cars, enjoyed watching baseball, loved listening to classic music from the 1970s, and cherished spending time with his family and friends. Edward also had a special love for raising Beagles and took great joy in caring for his beloved dogs throughout the years.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert John and Mary Rita Augustine; his sisters, Rosemary Orozco and Helen Louise Nardi; and his brothers, John Raymond Augustine and James Robert Augustine.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Ellen Cardwell-Augustine; his brother, Herbert Joseph Augustine; his sister, Jacqueline Maria Augustine Eastes (Tom); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will greatly miss him. He is also survived by his faithful furry companions, his beloved Beagles, Kandy and Kookie, and his cherished cats, Maurice and Andy, whose companionship brought him great comfort and happiness.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Kays Chapel Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Indiana.
Burial will follow at Kays Chapel Cemetery.
