Donna Gail (Corbett) Gunter

Donna Gail Gunter, 79, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on February 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 25, 1945, in New Albany, Indiana, Donna was the daughter of the late Nova and Thelma (Satterfield) Corbett. She was a graduate of New Albany High School, Class of 1963. Donna dedicated much of her life to working as a salesperson at Ivan Ware Boilers before retiring to focus on her family and passions.

On December 14, 1963, Donna married her beloved husband, Carroll Gunter. They shared 61 years of love and devotion, raising their family in Greenville, Indiana. Together, they created a life full of cherished memories. Donna was an active member of Milltown Christian Church in Milltown, Indiana, where she taught the ladies’ Sunday School class and was involved in numerous church activities.

Donna was a woman of many interests and hobbies. She loved sailing, traveling in her RV, gardening, cooking, and reading. She also enjoyed helping on the farm and spending quality time with her family. Above all, her greatest joy was being with her children, grandchildren, and her beloved pet, Annie Bell.

Donna is preceded in death by her father, Nova Corbett; her mother, Thelma Corbett; and her sister, Evelyn Satterfield.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Carroll Gunter; her brother, Donald (Carime) Corbett; her sister, Sherry Stemle; her son, Rick (Kristina) Gunter; her daughter, Caren (Bob) Johnson; her grandchildren, Jacob Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, Garrett Gunter, Jessie Mae (Derek) Saunders, Nick Gunter, Grace Gunter, and Seth Johnson.

In honoring Donna's wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 1:00-5:00pm at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, a testament to a life well-lived and a legacy of love and unwavering support for her family.
