Donald Otto Schultz

Donald Otto Schultz, age 77, of New Salisbury, IN went to be with his heavenly father on August 16, 2023.

He was born on May 28, 1946 to Otto and Anna (Pippon) Schultz in Cleveland, OH. Donald worked as a Mailman for USPS in New Albany, IN, and retired after over 40 years of service. He married Darlina (Thomas) "Dolly" Schultz on October 14, 1967. Donald and Darlina lived in New Salisbury, IN. He was a member of Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany, IN. He and Dolly served in several churches children's ministry programs over the years, and was known as Mr. "Don" to all the children. He enjoyed watching football, looking at Hotrods, working on model cars, and spending time with family. Don was a great Christian man a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a hard worker. He loved his grandchildren and was active in their lives. His grandchildren called him "Papa".

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sandra Richley; two brothers, Fred and Russell Schultz.

Donald is survived by one daughter, Paula (Matthew) Weston; one son, Brian (Hope) Schultz; three grandsons, Andrew Weston, Nathan Weston, Bryce Schultz, two granddaughters, Brook Schultz, Brean Schultz; several nieces and a nephew; as well as one faithful companion his beloved dog "Lucy".

Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on August 22, 2023 at Love Funeral Home, Palmyra, IN.
Funeral services will be held on the same day at 12pm.

Interment will take place in the Palmyra Cemetery.
