Daniel Franklin McCarty

Depauw, IN, Daniel Franklin McCarty, age 61, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. Dan was born on March 07, 1960 in New Albany, IN, to James and Margie (Gresham) McCarty. He married Rose Marie (Jones) McCarty on April 07, 1978 and have enjoyed 43 wonderful years together. Dan worked as a Machinist for several years, and later graduated with a degree in nursing from Ivy Tech. He went on to use his R.N. License to work for Hosparus Health in Louisville, KY. Dan spent several years of his work career at Harrison County Hospital where he was known and loved by all of his co-workers. He is a member of Blue River Baptist Church in Depauw, IN. Dan loved caring for his dogs, camping, music, and spending time with his family especially his grandkids, but nothing brought him more joy than the time he spent with his loving wife Rose.

He is preceded in death by his Father.

Dan is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cassandra (Josh) Gustin, Jessica (Jimmy) Ward; two sons, Jeffrey (Michele) McCarty, Eric (Samantha) McCarty; twelve grandchildren; one sister, Janet (Eric) Duley; three brothers, Jimmy Darrell (Mary) McCarty, Mike (Jackie) McCarty, Tommy (Sue) McCarty; several nieces and nephews; as well as three faithful companions, Coco, Vana, and Perky.

Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Blue River Baptist Church located at 13520 North Rd. NW Depauw, IN 47115. Visitation will be held at Blue River Baptist Church on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 11 a.m. until time of service.
