Clyde Eddie Lewellyn, age 83, of Palmyra, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025.
He was born on March 9, 1942, in Salem, Indiana, to Clyde and Madeline (Whiteman) Lewellyn. Clyde proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and later worked at the Charlestown Powder Plant in Charlestown, IN. On June 13, 2011, he married Barbara (Dooley) Lewellyn, and together they made their home in Palmyra.
Clyde was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends. His easygoing nature and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Max Lewellyn; and his sister, Carol Emmert.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Barbara Lewellyn; his brother, Charles “Mike” (Melinda) Lewellyn; three stepchildren; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 24, 2025, and again on Friday, April 25, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, Indiana.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025. Burial will take place at Forest Grove Cemetery.
