Charles Douglas Sumner

Charles Douglas Sumner, 81, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away November 1st 2024, of natural causes. Charles enjoyed watching old western movies with his granddaughter and spending time with his family. He was self employed for the majority of his life, running businesses such as gutters and lawn care. He was the hardest worker you would ever meet.

Charles was preceded in death by his two sons, Kirk Douglas Sumner “Doug,” and Terry Wayne Sumner; his wife, Betty June (Mann) Sumner; and many siblings.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Mikayla Sumner (Ronnie Crady); three great grandchildren, Casey Sumner, Kenneth Alvey, and Catherine Alvey; his brother, Robert Sumner; two sisters, Jane Appell and Peggy Bruce; and two nieces, Amber Appell Popham and Angela Appell.

Cremation was chosen with the burial at Palmyra Cemetery. There are no services to be held at this time.
