Charles Edward "Bud" Ollis

Charles "Bud" Edward Ollis Sr., age 92, of Greenville, IN, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025.

Bud was born on December 19, 1932, in New Albany, IN, to the late Dallas and Anna (Purcell) Ollis. Bud spent many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator before going on to own and operate his own business, High Lift.

He married the love of his life, Margie Nicholson, and together they shared many meaningful years. Bud had a passion for car racing, found joy in daily visits with friends at Sav-A-Step in Palmyra, and cherished the time he spent caring for his cows.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Margie Ollis; his son, Charlie Ollis Jr.; and two siblings.

Bud is survived by his step-son, Timothy Rankin;  and many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will remember his warmth, humor, and enduring spirit.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with cremation to follow, as per Bud's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bud’s name to a Humane Society of your choice.
