Palmyra, IN, Charles L Hay, age 71, passed away Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd. He was born in McCroy, Arkansas on August 3, 1949 to Charles H. and Frances P. (Fraze) Hay. Charles married Elizabeth (Collett) Hay on October 26, 1990. He worked for and retired from the City of Jeffersonville as construction laborer. Charles was a long time member and Pastor of the Beacon Missionary Baptist Church in Charlestown, IN. He enjoyed Playing the guitar, singing, the outdoors, and was an avid hunter. Charles was a man that was always there when you called, always ready to lend a hand as a pastor or friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Charles is survived by his wife of 30 years; Sons, Charles M. (Jennifer) Hay, Nathan E. (Courtney) Hay; Daughter Martha J. Jordan; six grandchildren, Lauren (Jacob) Garrett, Daniel Hay, Samuel Hay, Isaac Hay, Ziza Jordan, Logan Hay; one great-grandchild, Jace Garrett; two brothers Michael (Judy) Hay, Roger (Melinda) Hay; and two sisters Jeanette Smith, Teresa (Kevin) Benham.
Visitation will be at Faith Harvest Church at 6310 Buttontown Road, Greenville, IN 47124, on December 11, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on December 12 from 9 a.m. until time of service. Funeral Service will be held at Faith Harvest Church at 1 p.m. on December 12, 2020.
