Catherine Marie (Naylor) Likens

Catherine Marie (Naylor) Likens, age 82, of Corydon, IN, formerly of Salem, IN, passed away on July 8, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.

Marie was born on January 28, 1942, to Herbert and Catherine (Nichols) Naylor in New Albany, IN. She was a cherished member of the Alpha Omega Full Gospel Church in New Salisbury, IN. Marie began her career at Bata Shoe in Salem, IN, and later retired as a Cook from Silver Crest Child Development Center in New Albany, IN. On July 5, 1958, she married the love of her life, Bobby Likens. Marie found joy in camping, solving puzzles, tending to flowers and gardens, and most of all, in the loving company of her grandchildren and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brother James William Naylor.

Catherine is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Karen (Bob) Hamilton of McMinnville, TN, and Kathy (Mick) Floyd of New Albany, IN; son, Jeremy (Robin) Likens of Bedford, IN; four grandchildren, Amanda Hamilton of McMinnville, TN, Christopher (Rachel) Miller of Seymour, IN, Kelsey Likens and Sydney (Tyler) Miller, both of Bedford, IN; and one great-granddaughter, Allisynn Miller of Seymour, IN.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 11am to 2pm at Love Funeral Home, Palmyra, IN. Funeral services will follow at 2pm. Interment will take place at Kansas Church Cemetery in Salem, IN.

Marie's kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Her memory will be cherished and her love remembered always.
