Bobby Keith Hawkins

Bobby Keith Hawkins, age 87, of Palmyra, IN, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025.

He was born on June 15, 1937, to Paul and Thelma (Wells) Hawkins in Breeding, KY. Bobby married the love of his life, Careen (McCurdy) Hawkins, on July 11, 1975. Throughout his life, Bobby dedicated himself to his career in service management within the trucking industry.

Bobby was a man of many passions. He loved the outdoors, spending time fishing, gardening, and camping. He was also a skilled mechanic and found joy in working with his hands. Above all, Bobby cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, always bringing laughter and a sense of fun to every gathering, often teasing and making memories with those he loved.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Thelma Hawkins; his step-son, Bill Brock Jr.; one sister Annie Pearl Hawkins; and three brothers, Phillip Hawkins, Roger Hawkins, and Ralph Hawkins and first wife Mary.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Careen Hawkins; his daughter, Peggy (Hugh) Gugel; his sons, Bobby (Cathy) Hawkins Jr. and Michael Hawkins; his step-daughters, Cherie (Howdy) Keithley, Connie Rebola, Pamela Lovera and Roxanne Medley; his step-son, Terry (Bev) Brock; one brother, Harold Hawkins; two sisters, Becky Davidson and Helen Plumlee; as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Cremation has been chosen, and the arrangements have been entrusted to Love Funeral Home.

Bobby will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
